NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that a request is on file in the office of the Planning Commission of the City of Arkansas City, Kansas for the following:

CONDITIONAL USE

Consideration of the advisability of granting a conditional use permit for an Off-Premises Billboard sign for a tract of land situated in the Southeast Quarter of Section 13, Township 34 South, Range 3 East of the 6th Principal Meridian, Cowley County, Kansas, the deed of which was filed in Book 973 Page 50 with the Cowley County Register of Deeds more commonly known as 2113 N Summit Street.  A copy of the deed as well as a map depicting the area is on file with the Neighborhood Services Division on the 2nd Floor of City Hall and can be viewed during regular business hours.  A conditional use permit is required for this use in the C-3 General Commercial District.

A public hearing will be held on the 11th day of June 2024 at 5:30 PM in the Conference Room at the Water Treatment Facility 400 W Madison Ave.  Members of the public are also welcome to join the meeting via GoToMeeting.  For information on how to access the meeting in that manner, please contact Josh White at 620-441-4420. Consideration of the rezoning of a property from an I-1 Light Industrial District to an R-3 High Density Residential District a tract of land described as the North 310 feet of Lot 1, Prospect Tracts No 1, Arkansas City, Cowley County, Kansas more commonly known as 1640 N 15th Street.
