ACPD Seek Information on Suspect in Stabbing Incident

The Arkansas City Police Department is actively searching for a suspect following a stabbing incident that occurred late Wednesday night.

On January 29, 2025, at approximately 11:05 p.m., officers responded to the South Central Kansas Medical Center after receiving a report of a stabbing victim. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim and began an investigation.

Through interviews with the victim and witnesses, investigators have identified Benjamin Floyd Trimbath, 19, of Arkansas City, as a suspect in the incident. The altercation took place at the victim’s residence and resulted in injuries requiring medical attention.

At the time of the incident, an 18-year-old female was also present at the residence. Trimbath is currently under bonding conditions that prohibit him from having contact with this individual.

Despite multiple attempts by law enforcement to locate Trimbath, he remains at large. The Arkansas City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in determining his whereabouts.
