Davidson Sworn in as Officer to ACPD

ARKANSAS CITY, KS — (JAN. 19, 2023) During Jan. 18, 2023, City Commissioner meeting Luke Davidson was sworn in as an officer to the Arkansas City Police Department.

 

Davidson began his employment with the Arkansas City Police Department on Dec. 19, 2022. He has completed the hiring process's rigorous phases, including written test, interview board, executive interview, intense background investigation, polygraph test, psychological and online personality tests, physical capacity test, drug and alcohol screening, and a medical exam.

 

Officer Davidson is an Arkansas City native and graduated from Arkansas City High School in 2004. He graduated from Cowley College in 2006. Before accepting the position as an officer with the department, Davidson was employed at the City of Arkansas City Parks Department and BNSF Railroad.

 

"During his interview process, Officer Davidson was asked to explain the impact we make through community involvement. He said that it shows the city how much we care. It makes the city feel safe and proud. It also creates an image for the department," Police Chief Eric Burr said. "We are excited to welcome Luke to our family at the Arkansas City Police Department."
