No injuries reported in motorcycle moving vehicle accident
On January 19, 2023, at around 4:46 p.m., Arkansas City officers and Arkansas City, KS Fire/EMS Department were dispatched to an unknown injury accident in the 400 block of East Kansas Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers learned through their investigation that a Nissan Altima driven by Tomas-Leon Ramos, age 17, of Arkansas City, failed to yield at the stop sign at D Street and Kansas Avenue while attempting to turn left. A motorcycle driven by a 47-year-old male was eastbound and hit the Nissan Altima on the driver's side.
The motorcycle driver was treated by Arkansas City EMS at the scene for minor injuries and released. In connection, Tomas-Leon Ramos was cited for No Drivers License and Fail to Yield.
